Sunset Family Billiards has finally opened their doors in Renton,
WA. After a long construction process that has been enduring the
doors opened on January 11th, 2003. There is still some work that
needs to be done to finish things up. We're still working with the
City to get the kitchen open, and working on the upstairs area. So
far the response has been good overall with the room. Like anything
else I'm sure there will be things tweaked and changed as we go. The
biggest change so far was the substitution of tables that we had.
Now in place in the room are Brunswick Gold Crown IV's. Along with
the Crowns are 2 Global Coin Ops and 1 Snooker Table. They also
have some video games and a CD Jukebox. A three-cushion table will
be coming shortly. The first one was returned with the first set of
tables that were sent back to the manufacturer.
When you first come
into the room the first thing one may notice is the painting of the
walls. Far from ordinary, and routine. With the non-smoking
atmosphere the environment is good and clean. Our Grand Opening
will be in March featuring an exhibition from World Champion Nick
Varner. Details will be coming soon on this event. Currently the
hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 1:00PM until Midnight,
and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00AM until Midnight. These hours
will be expanded as time goes. In the future we'll be looking to
add some in-house leagues and tournaments. Sunset Family Billiards
